Happy New Year, Happy New Blog!

Okay, for a huge percentage of God's people around the globe, Advent is the beginning of the year.  As Christians gather nightly to remember the hope brought by God's promise of peace, and the joy we find as we recall His great love displayed in His Coming (aka His Advent) to rescue us, we find this last month of the year a perfect time for new beginnings.

So, I'm all about the new beginnings:

  • This is a new blog to replace my old one on greedy ol' Wordpress (I loved you, but you charged me money to upload much of anything, you scrooge).
  • I'm working on a long-delayed effort to begin what should be a years-long project of creating an online hymnal (with transposable lead sheets and guitarist-friendly keys - hazzah!).
  • I'm finally uploading my recorded music to NoiseTrade (check out that widget over there on the right!  You can get my songs for free, but you can also leave me a tip if you like a song enough to download it!).
  • I'm an ESL teacher, so I'll be using my Christmas break to do some much-needed retooling.
  • And, I just became a seminarian!  Woohoo, Gordon-Conwell (Charlotte campus), here I come!

Ah, yes, it is a wonderful time for new beginnings.
